My bad guys. Sometimes reading posts...you can't find the tone so I was just asking.

How long does it take for that red dye to get out of the tank/lines/filter/engine system? What happens when they re-instate this restriction? Will the people who took advantage of it still get fined because there are traces of the dye still in their tanks? Surely not. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

When I first read the title I thought Don's diesel had gone off-road and died. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Glad to hear your diesel's OK Don. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I actually know better; the newspaper used that spelling and I unconsciously used it. They have a legitimate excuse; it is a late-breaking news blog and timeliness is more important than perfect spelling. I have no such excuse.

Re: Died (offroad) diesel OK\'d for road use

This might be a way to break into the world of burning dyed diesel in your on-road truck forever. That is, the traces of dye in the fuel system can always be blamed on that one time that it was allowed. Now a tank full of red... well that would be hard to explain.
