It occurs to me that the quality controls on home heating fuel may vary across the country. It is also possible that this fuel source may be of lower quality or sometimes degraded because of age (condensation/algae or breakdown) in areas where oil is infrequently used for home heating purposes (such as the midwest?).
Just a thought.
