Seen the same thing happen twice at a previous employer only in a forklift. The owner has in a hurry and stopped to fill up the forklift. Deisel and gas pumps not even next to each other. Fills up and then comes in the warehouse saying it's not running right and writes down for deisel use for inventory keeping. Looked at him and asked what he just filled it with. He said deisel. We laughed and said its a gas forklift. Need less to say we got to drain the tank lucky it had a drain plug on the bottom of the tank.
Then about 6 months later the owner tells his son to go put fuel in the forklift. His son goes and puts deisel fuel in the forklift. Needless to say we got to drain the tank that time also.
