I saw a couple of places yesterday for $2.759 a gal. on-road. Gasoline is as low as $2.599, but hurricane season and the Gulf problems will surely drive both prices up very soon.

Yesterday I filled up my truck with diesel at Walmart at $2.56. The price varies widely in this area from $2.56 to about $2.89 from station to station.

A few weeks ago the price got to 2.99. I had to fill up of course. And then the price dropped pretty quickly to 2.89. 
The price has been at 2.89 since then.

Seems that my area has the highest price and we have an oil refinery in town, go figure.

We Canadians just pay lots of tax on everything. Diesel is $1.05 a liter which comes to approximately $3.75 a US gallon.
