I rode by Walmart and for 1.89 a gallon that's 25 cents cheaper than the lowest price and worth the extra miles to get it I put 50 gallons in my transfer tank.

I recently drove about 10 miles and saved $0.60 per gallon to fill up my 100 gallon transfer tank. That's a $60 savings for a 20 mile round trip. Gotta shop around......

Diesel's been holding at about $1.80/gal here in Northern Mississippi. RUG is $1.45.

I filled up my truck and my transfer tank today (about 133 gallons total) for $1.899. Most places around here are about $2.10 to $2.29 for diesel. However, this little community where I filled up today has 2 stores. The other store had diesel for $2.79. So, within a distance of about 1/4 mile, there is a difference of $0.90 per gallon. Interesting.....I wonder why that is?

Maybe greed? Diesel is climbing here, not a lot but I have not bought any in a while (my bulk tank was filled in the spring) and I've been driving my gas car not the diesel pickup but I will pick up some off road if I happen to be driving one of the tactors up town. I'll swing in and top off the tanks with off road.

ORD is a business write off for me anyway. Farm expense.

Currently diesel prices here are ~ 10 cents a gallon cheaper than regular unleaded. What I don't understand is why prices 2 weeks ago were around $1.65 a gallon for regular unleaded - now are 50 cents a gallon more than that. No explanation given, seems overnight the signs all changed from $1.65 to $2.15.
