They sell those filter elements at TSC or Rural King. I change mine every 3 years. Just mark the date on it. For me that works out to about 1500 gallons of fuel. Filter element is about $7 but mine is different. Its metal and has a drain on the bottom to remove water if needed. I get my elements at Rural King. They also have your filter element for $6 according to the web site.

Thanks guys, great info and I will proceed on the filter, cleaning the tank, and moving it into the equipment barn. Good deal.
