I have two 300 gallon heating oil tanks that I need to repaint.

I'm going to sandblast and prime them first and am wondering if anyone has used the Tractor Supply, Tractor Enamel. They have in in Majic and Valspar. I'm thinking water base might not hold up as well if it gets some fuel on it. I want white for the coolest temperature.

Or, any other suggestions for a durable, exterior paint for steel fuel tanks?

It works pretty good just need to add the hardener and mix per the directions on the can. if spraying w hardener be sure to use a good quality isocyanate approved respirators... Also need to treat the bare metal with a good Phosphate / Iron Phosphate treatment or a Zinc Phosphate etching primer and that will cure the rust issue..

My Dump wagon is starting to rust after 10 years now of hauling gravel & dumping it. I made it used automotive grave iron phosphate metal prep and painted over bare steel using TSC blue tractor paint w hardener. Outside is 95% good the bed sat with wood in it for a year which caused the rust more so than the gravel did.
