Diesel Tractor Emissions WARRANTY in New York State

Hello,

I'm led to understand that diesel tractor emission warranty terms vary by state.

On a NEW tractor, would anyone know what emission warranty law is in place in New York State?

New York doesn’t list a separate off-highway emissions standard. Therefore fall back on the US standard which varies by power class. New York is one fighting EPA relaxation of on-highway and power plant emissions they fear will bring them back to the smog shrouded NYC of the 60s with its associated health care cost but off-highway really is driven by CA.

Federal EPA regs apply to NY. The Vampire State does not have more stringent emissions regulations than the feds.

Some tractor dealers tell me the Emmission Warranty on a new tractor is government mandated to be 5 years. (In New York State)

Other dealers have stated that the Emmission warranty is only covered by the manufacturer "bumper to bumper" warranty period. (Again, in New York State)
