Go to eBay and search for Yanmar tractors. You'll find 16 hp diesels and get an idea of the auction prices being paid.

My local grey market tractor guy generally has some small Yanmars in stock

thanks for the advice. I'll checkout ebay and craigslist. I clicked on the link and that Yanmar YM1700 doesn't have that bad of a price tag. its just across the US because i live in New York

I search Hartford CT, Worcester MA & Western Ma on CR. I've seen a few small diesels. You can widen your search using searchtempest.com

Kubota b7100 or b6100 are great little tractors if you find a deal on one. I love my little kubota!

A b7100 just sold at auction for $2k around here. Just have to look hard enough.
