Dieseling on grease

Seems to me that filtering would only get some of the solids out still leaving all the foreign chemicals and other impurities in it.
To me if it's not totally re refined it's not good enough to use.

Waste materials like bits of burned food can be composted. I return the unsatisfactory grease to the collection bin or to the used oil collection center.
The acid problem and soap, plainly if you avoid water collecting then allow the material to settle satisfactorly then filter very well you probably will get very little water or particles and therefore very little glycerine in your tank. A secret is to speed up the settling water removal process by adding a very common chemical. Oil being organic is difficult to establish a pH reading. If you have ever dropped a bolt or chain in a can of oil or diesel and return days later to see it slightly rusty and with some sort of coating. What is that?
By the way the engine runs quiter less chatter, no black smoke, and with more power due to the combustion properties of this dirty grimmy scummy free grease.

I thought about this thread when I replaced my hydraulic fluid. The transmission used only 4 gallons so some JD303 was left over.

I saved 1/2 gallon in a gallon jug and then poured the rest in the fuel tank, about 20% ratio. I also added Power Service at 1:200 to help starting.

This ran fine. A couple of times I noticed a slight smell like an overheated transmission then remembered what it was.

A cold start the next morning was a little slow; it didn't fire on the first compression stroke like usual but fired on about the third one, then ran fine without smoke after the first 5 seconds.

I haven't decided whether to save the old hydraulic fluid for fuel. It seems to me if nothing settles out of it over several months then it should be harmless.
