Dif between 3515 and the 394 ?

TYM recently signed a new deal with Yanmar to make some tractors for Yanmar. Not sure, but I would expect it also includes continuing the Yanmar engines in the models that use them.

They use Yanmar engines in some of the smaller legacy TYM models. Some of those are also made for RK.

They also use Deutz engines in the larger models.

If you look in to 3515, look firsts 2515. My understanding it is exactly the same tractors, only 2515 has detuned which can be tuned to 35HP in 2 minutes and 2515 does not have this regen BS and also cheaper.
It is why i bought 2515R. I tried neighbor's 3515H and mine feels much stronger.
If you chose TYM15 series, IMO 2515 is much better choice, saves you money and regen headache.
My $0.02 but what know. If i was buying a tractor now, i would NEVER go with TYM/Branson.

Yours is a "R", Shuttle transmission, while the your neighbor has the hydrostatic one. That's where you feel all the diference and why yours felt a lot stronger.

As much as I understand the real difference between 25 and 35 is felt only on higher RPM. So, there is no advantage in 90% of use. I don't think one would feel any difference between 2515h and 3515h unless pull extreme load. "R" have 12 speed transmission which helps to mitigate miniscule disadvantages in HP. Ok, It will take 2 seconds longer to climb that hill with 10 ton load, but it saves ton of money buying, then ton of time while regen, and ton of diesel spent on regen.

What i want to say, if one goes for 15 series, IMO it is better to go with 25HP, but opinions like elbows, most have two ;)

The OP hasn't posted a single reply to this thread.

With 15 acres to mow, one issue to me is having enough HP to run a wide enough cutter to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time.

So, and this is just me, I would want as much HP as I can reasonably afford, because you might come across a 8 ft mower for $600 on Marketplace. If you get the 35hp, that's really nit gonna work, but if you had the 49hp, maybe it bogs, or you drive slow, but it opens options. If the TYM is what your want, I would definitely look at the 474/494. It's just more versatile. Heck, the 574 is a step up un price, but it's not a big step.

Right, or if go with former Branson models, TYM 4820 is better tool for the job.

There was maybe $1500 difference for me to go from 494 to 574. Since it's the H, I wanted the extra PTO HP for mowing and potentially a chipper in the future.

No issues so far.
