I am trying to decide between a Kabota 2920 and 3030. The two dealers who I am working between, each say the one they have on hand is the better of the two. I'm leaning towards the 2920 but my main use for the tractor will be for snow blowing my 1000ft driveway and am wondering if it will perform as well as the 3030. In looking over the spec.s, there's nothing that pops out at me other then the 1HP engine difference, but I'm hoping that I'll hear back from guys who are unbiased in their opinion. Thanks to all who can chime in.

The B3030 is the Cadillac (or Lincoln) of the B series. It has position control, extendable 3-point arms, & probably a few other things that the B2920 doesn't have.

Also the B3030 is a larger tractor. should handle the job better/qucker. If you need a smaller unit, but same HP the B2920 should be fine. Where you have to park the unit, and other attachments should help you make a decision.

B3030 is a 4 cylinder and the B2920 is a 3. The 3030 produces its max horsepower at a lower RPM.

The loader for the 3030 is a 403 (kg) and the B2920 sports a 364 (kg) loader. The B3030 also has a factory quick attach for the bucket (although you can use the quick attach from the 3200 on the 2920)

And like the others have said, the 3030 has position control and the 3pt has more bells and whistles. You can also get a factory cab on the 3030.

As much as I like the 2920, almost bought one, for the differences mentioned, my choice would be the 3030.

Thanks for your feedback. Do you know how difficult it would be to remove the cab for Summer use?

My friend has one with a factory cab. It doesn't look like it comes off easily, if at all. It is factory installed.

I believe they have AC though :)

No, from what I understand Kabota does not offer a factory cab for the 2920. It has a SIMS cab on it. Would you mind giving me your advice as far the price the dealer is asking. Here's the details. Thanks a lot.

Kabota 2920
Year: 2009
Hrs. 112
Sims Cab
Loader
Front mounted snow blower

Towline Equipment in New Hampshire is asking $21,500

Thought you were asking about the cab on the 3030.

I don't know what the cabs go for, but you can get one new, with the loader and blower, without the cab, for around same price.

Kubota's pricing on the B series at their website is down right now (hint: pricing is inside the "Build My Kubota" link). But you should be able to price it out and the dealer should give you 10% off list without too much haggling.

EDIT: Just noted that the cabs run like $3500 new from SIMS... I'd still price out a new one on Kubota's site and adjust for a new SIMS cab. The used price does seem in the ballpark though.

Let's say Ford offers the same (similar) engine in both the Focus (compact) and the Fusion (mid-sized). Yet, there are major differences between the two cars.

Same with the Kubotas you are looking at, including price. The 20 series are economy tractors while the 30 series are deluxe machines. They are different to appeal to different buyers with different needs. If one's bank book is fatter, the 30 series, with the superior 3 pt hitch would be most folk's preference, but many are thrilled just to have the 20. Not everyone can justify the additional expense of the deluxe series.

Salesmen who don't honestly state the differences between the two machines are not being forthright.
