Looking to use my father in laws post driver that he has set up for his mid 60's JD 2010 on my 92 Case IH 595. He bought the driver 30 + years ago and at the time the dealer changed out the control valve so he could use it on the 2010.
He connects the pressure to the loader QD and runs the return straight to the reservoir (case). The valve is a single handle that redirects the fluid to either side of the cylinder; not sure if it is a flow through valve or not.
The 595 has 2 sets of remotes on the back. Could I just hook the pressure into one of those and tie that remote control in the open position, control the driver with the driver control and run the return right into the reservoir? I dont see how this would be different then the set up on the 2010
My father in law is pretty certain that from what they told him when he bought the driver, the control valve on the driver would have to be changed to use on a newer tractor. I tried to call a dealer to see what there thoughts were, but since I couldnt find a model number on the driver, they couldnt help me. The post driver is a Shaver; hydraulics raises the ram, springs lower the ram.
Thanks
