Differences between years on 2620/2920

hello,

I have read through a lot of posts/threads on TBN and I think I am going to be purchasing a B2620. I really want to go used as I have a limited budget...was hoping to find a 1-2 year old lightly used model but was curious if I wound up going with something a few years older...what are the differences throughout the years (if any) with B2620 (or B2920? if I found a deal I would go 2920...why not right?) Are they all identical and its really just a matter of hours on the clock?

Welcome Matt. You might want to check tractordata.com for the two models' specs, and take a look at tractorhouse.com for used tractors, just to get an idea what they sell for in various locales. Even the classifieds here might help you gain knowledge. Of course, searching forums for threads on them will help with insights, too, but it sounds like you have been doing just that. Have fun. Anything under 5-600 hours doesn't count IF THE TRACTOR HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. I'd look for something stored out of the weather, too.

I am not aware of any significant changes to those models during their runs. Both very good tractors, identical except for the engine/HP. Real benefit to the 2920 is if you need extra HP for PTO implements, otherwise the 2620 is just as good. Roughly $700-800 separated the models when priced new.

I have a 2008 (first model year I think) B2920 and researched it extensively before buying it about 4 months ago. I never came across any info on differences between model years. I am really satisfied with mine regardless.

Barlows has a B2620 HST FEL BH with 75 hours that was kept inside except for the 75 hours. I did the 50 hour service at 50 hours. Traded it to them a couple three months ago. Think he's asking around $18000. BackHoe adds a bit to the price.

Be ware of the accuracy of the data on TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors.

I quit trusting them some years ago, when I noticed that they do not necessarily even list the same CATEGORIES, from one model to the next. And/or, sometimes the categories are not in the same ORDER.

Such inconsistencies do not inspire confidence in me, and I have had other members echo this sentiment to me.

I think, but cannot recall for sure, that I also found actual errors in 404 Not Found specification data.

Another member here emailed me the Whole Good's Kubota tractor catalogue (I'd never heard of it either). Now, while I have not found any errors in it, and I do believe the order of the categories is the same, from model to model, I've been disappointed to find that the DIMENSIONS do not seem to be listed (as in length, height, wheelbase, etc...) in the Whole Goods Kubota catalogues.

If you cannot find them online, I believe I can email them to you, as .pdfs--the member in question was kind enough to send me the 2009 and 2013 editions.

Does ANYONE have the actual, full, digital catalogues (with FULL SPECS), in the .pdf form Kubota lists them on, before they rip them off the interwebs, without ANY warning, as soon as the newest models come out?

I would LOVE to have copies of Kubota's original, full, .pdf catalogues, for the complete B series, from 2004-20012. I'm happy to swap the two Whole Goods catalogues, in exchange, if anyone is interested.

(The only reason I do not mention the kind member who gave me these catalogues, by name, is simply so he is not inundated with similar requests--but his efforts remain VERY much appreciated).
