Any jazz lovers here? I can't drive with my favorite music on, because the music sucks up my entire attention. Try listening to the incredible show put on by Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland, Herbie Hancock, and Pat Metheny.. at the Mellon Jazz Festival of the Philadelphia Academy of Music.. and try to drive a car at the same time. Ornette Coleman, Oliver Nelson, and my favorite in any band, Pat Metheny.

We used to go to the jazz festival at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.. I forget which name the festival had. There was a funny moment at one of these. We had gone to hear Jazz, and they brought out B.B. King. Now don't get me wrong, I love B.B., but it seemed out of place at a jazz festival. So my friend and I were leaning on our arms, kind of waiting for this set to end, and get on to the jazz. Of course at this moment the TV cameras zoomed in on us.. the rest of the crowd was going wild and we looked like we were sleeping. We saw it on the news the next night, and laughed ourselves silly. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Man, a great moment in life! We were in Sturgis SD for Bike Week a few years ago. The people camped(at Tilford Gulch) next to us were in a motor home, and had a full home stereo. They put thier speakers outside under the awning, with good seperation. They were cool, they didn't crank it up or be obnoxious...

We got back from Rushmore, and were talking with them. We had brought margarita stuff back too. They had the BBQ going, and so we ate and drank together.

We're just relaxing, when they put "In a Gadda Da Vida on" on. Just as it started, a tremendous lightning stom started in the distance. The light show was fantastic. Between the light show, and music, and company, it is one of those memories that will always be fondly remembered!

Of course, we think the folks out at Buffalo Chip camp ground might have got the rain from that show...
