BobG: Do you take off all of the 3pt arms or just the stabalizers? I just pull the pins on the stabalizers, tie them to the 3pt arms and then use bunji to strap the 3pt arms together to keep them out of the way of the bottom of the hoe. Yea, they hang down a little, but it has not been a problem so far.

Yep, I take the lower arms off, but leave the stabilizer short arms (parts connected to the axles) attached and hanging. I take the pins out of the lower arms and pop them off. As you know they weigh about 40-50 lbs each so its somewhat of a chore to replace them by oneself. I'll check out your method....BobG in VA

Blu 82. As as you know, I have exactly what you are getting -- 2006 7520 4wd, 511BH, 275FEL. I agree with all the others re time and tricks for ON/OFF. It is not necessary to remove the 3PH arms just drop them all the way down and maybe run the adjusters out a little to get them lower. The stabilizer adjustment tubes for the arms must be removed tho, so the arms can pivot in toward the drawbar. My assembly had a tiny dimensional mismatch that gave me fits til I decided it wasnt me and fixed it. The mating parts are massive and rigid and wont flex, so the assembly relys on a small amount of dimensional slop to allow the upper pins to arc into/outof their slots. My upper pins were hanging at the very edge of the top entry to their slots. Radiusing that edge with a grinder took care of a very frustrating system demand for absolute perfection, and a little prying, for mounting and dismounting. Also, make sure yours has NO interference between the seat and hydraulic connections. It will cause the quick connects to leak and pop loose. My BH is mounted in the low position on its frame. I prefer this but it aggravates the seat interference possibility.

All--great info, unfortunately w/o pics I am not following much of what is being said. Does the manual describe this in detail and w/pics? If not, is someone willing to take pics of process and post?

I am not sure when mine will be here. Will ask the dealer Mon. Now I need to get going on rotary cutter, grapple, box blade, forks toothbar, hvy chains, post hole digger. Right now, from what I have seen and read, I like the Bush Hog 296 rotary cutter, the Bush Hog MBX 840 or Woods HB84 box blade, Bush Hog 2102 PHD (my dealer says this is overkill and has a much cheaper PHD), Rake Master grapple (made here in FL), not sure about pallet fork but want one w/a good back so that anything on the pallet doesn't come off the back and hit the tractor (any recommendations?), industrial chain, Markham toothbar. Anything else??

If anyone has recommendation on the implements, pls respond.

I will be making/maintaining roads, clearing treed areas, clearing large bushes, harvesting some of my pine, maintaining about an 8 acre pond, prepping area for steel barn, possible small cabin by lake, and a house. Will need everyones help and advice on doing any/all of those tasks. throw out your techniques so that I don't have to learn the hard way--I like smarter not harder, that is why I was in the Air Force.

Any recommendations on a company for steel building?

Also, any of u folks tried using biodiesel? I won't use it unless Mahindra approves (which I don't believe they have) but I think we are/should be headed that way.

Can't wait to get started.

You know after I initially responded, I realized that our situations are probably different since I have the PTO pump/resevoir. I don't think I can keep my arms on with the hoe as the resevoir sets back toward the tractor somewhat. It holds about 12-15gallons of hyd fluid: read as not small. BobG in VA

Blu: You know, sometimes you have to eat some dirt and do your own pushups. Don't worry, it tastes just fine. BobG in VA

BobG--Don't be confused into thinking that AF folks can't do their own pushups--just cause we fly and fight doesn't mean we can't measure up. I have pushed Georgia plenty of times thru airborne tng--when I was much younger. No one controls their environment like the USAF. Look how far we have come since we became a seperate Service--"no one comes close". Also, I ate dirt as a kid and found out it didn't taste too good--didn't take long to figure that out. Of course this is off topic--sorry, and it is all in good humor. GO AF, Beat Army!

However, I do appreciate all the advice you and others have given. Keep it coming!

Don't know when I will be hooking up bh again, but will try to remember to take some pics for you. May need a lesson on how to get them on here.
If you are looking for a box blade, the cats meow is a roll over box blade. It gives you 3 in 1 uses with the pull of a lever from the seat, or if you really want to spend money, I thing they make it with hydrualics. Check out bush hog and woods, Gannon if you are on the west coast. Couple of grand for a 72".

Spyderlk--I also have a problem with the seat contacting the hyd connectors and when the dealer was showing me how to use the BH when it was delivered on Mon, the hyd connections came loose about every couple of minutes. The seat back has a design flaw in that it contacts the hyd connectors. I have emailed Mahindra and have gotten a reply--they are supposed to call me. So far, I haven't used the BH because of this problem. The dealer had a tough time continuing to connect the hyd so I haven't used the bh. I have been busy clearing some bushes using the FEL and am starting to feel comfortable using it. Have cleared several acres of Yaupon bushes--they multiply like crazy here. I will try to take some pics of the tractor, BH and connections.

BTW, how do u upload a pic??
