Digg\'n out my small pond...
Greetings,
We haven't much of any rain to speak about over the last month and ole snapper pond has just about dried up. This ole pond sit's over a wet weather spring and it's been in this same spot in different sizes for well over 70 years. In the 16 yrs I've been here this is only the 3 time that it's dried up. I rented one of those Terra-Mites 4 yrs ago to dig it out the last time but with my handy dandy BX23, all I had to do was wait til it got just hard enough to venture out in it to dig.
I had about 6 hrs in it then all of sudden the heavens loosed the rain. The rain didn't run me off tho as it felt pretty good on this 90+ degree day, it was all that thunder & lightning carrying on all around me /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
This shot is whats left of the water. Since I've fully fenced the perimeter, I wonder where the rather large snapper got off to?
