I was considering building a carry all for the 3pt and then started looking at TSC because they sell carry all frames. I constantly am moving tools, bags of mulch, pavers, etc and sometimes the loads are small enough that I don't want to connect up a wagon. TSC also sells pond or dirt scoops and in looking at them, they would work pretty well as a carry all as well as giving the option using it for digging.

Who makes the best pond or dirt scoops? I saw units from King Kutter, TSC and Northern Equip. I saw one that used bent tubular steel for the frame but could not identify the brand.

Does anyone make one with a replacable cutting edge?

I had thought of building a receiver hitch for the 3 pt. Then build a carry all like they make for vehicles. That way I'll have a reciever to tote around my trailer, aretor, etc. This should keep the cost down. Thought I'd build the receiver out of an old truck hitch and some square stock, then build carry all out of square stock and expanded metal. Maybe this will give you some ideas. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Pond scoops are pretty low budget items. I doubt you'd find a replaceable edge. Ot should work nicely as a carry all, and double as a digger. I had a gard time getting mine to dump well, as my little Yanmar couldn't raise it very high. I have a FEL, now, so my poor pond scoop just sits there.

I would go with the carry all since you have a FEL. I purchased one to move pallets around. Were building a house and used it for moving lumber, bricks, firewood etc..

Having one of each, I find I'm constantly looking at the carry all, thinking I could make a better scoop to bolt onto this.
