dirt scoop for small tractor

I have a 15 hp iskei that I use with 24 inch wide dirt scoop. My tractor has no problem with the scoop,full,of dirt other then front end coming off ground on an incline. Wouldn't think a 16 hp tractor would have any problem.

Yeah, the HP thing is not what's important. It's how much drag force the tractor can put to the ground. I've scooped hundreds if not thousands of cu yds of dirt with an 8N Ford tractor and a 24" scoop.

Next concern would be if the tractor can lift the scoop full of dirt, which I'm guessing it can, and then how high it can lift so transporting isn't an issue.

If you have a little determination you can to a lot with one. You should have some weights on the front if you are going to use a scoop.

Very insightful words. More than a few years back, I helped my brother do some landscaping, we moved a LOT of dirt, changing the grade from towards the house, to the proper away from the house. He had an old horse drawn scoop, a 12HP garden tractor, and me. Some times it's not the equipment so much as the ingenuity, determination and effort put into getting the job done. We couldn't do it today though, too dang old for that kind labor.
