Disassembling the MMM pto shaft

Greetings, I am trying to disassemble the universal joint on the MMM drive shaft. I have pushed one of the bearings through the yoke, but I am not able to remove the bearing cup. There just doesn't appear to be enough of the cup sticking out of the yoke. Is there a trick to get it out? I ordered half of the pto shaft for the mower today and Messicks had the best price, but it was still $289.00. Becareful with the removal and installation of MMM so you do not "mess up" the coupler. push it through as far as it goes then grab it in a really good vice and start to fight, watch the roller....
sometime a good pair of vice grips will do the job. there is no easy way except to cut the uni cross out with a oxy and the just punch the caps out after all the rollers etc have fallen out. this is actually how i do unis if im just replacing the cross. doesn't look pretty when im doing it but when its all done you cant tell and its done in 5 minutes not half a hour.
