I putter w/a set thats attach to the 3pt on B7100 and does okay job if the ground loosen first...little more weight on harrows might add for better cutting. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I used a 3pt 4 1/2' disk to break up the ground for a couple acres of pasture. The problem with the little disks is that even the stout ones are not heavy enough to penetrate the ground very well. I used several cement block to weigh mine down and then had very good luck with it. My tractor, a Kubota L185, was still able to lift it without to much complaining, not sure about the BX though.

Eno , I have a tufline 4 foot disc that I use here in Ga. The disc only weighs 256 lbs. But I modified mine with barbell weights. It now weighs approx 550 lbs. If I'm preping un disturbed ground I use a Fred Cain 3 shank chisel plow to break the crust. Then I use the disc or for lawn prep , I will use a tiller. I have a Befco T-30 34" tiller. the only reason I went with that size tiller is, The only one available at the time and it side shifts. But the disc works fine now that it's weighted down. The Bx pulls that thing fine. Also with a disc harrow speed helps with the cutting action. I also use a 4' pulverizer to smooth and prep lawns for sod or seed.

I have a 4' Howse disk harrow for my BX2200 and the thing must have been made with the BX in mind. It weighs 423# and does not need any added weight to cut into even hard soil. I was planning on getting a tiller later on but there is no need now. This disk has two heights that the frame can be set so in the lower setting it fits the BX prefectly. I have lived on a farm all my life and operated tons of different tractors, even 100HP+ dual wheeled ones and this has to be the most efficent one I have ever sat on. This disk behind this little tractor amazes me and any other well seasoned farmer that witnesses it in action. Most guys chuckle when they first see my rig sitting there but everyone that sees it work wants to know how much and where to get one after they see it's capabilities.
