Disc Recommendations?

I have a JD 2305 and have about 3/4 acre to break up for seeding. I'd welcome recommendations on a disc as the only models I've discovered are KingKutter.

I doubt a disc will break up your ground, and you will need to get rippers in there first. After the ground is either ripped, sub-soiled, or plowed - then the disc will work up the dirt for seeding.
A disc might work if the ground was plowed last year and in a crop such as beans or silage corn (no stalks remaining).

Discing should do fine, especially if you are ripping it up just a bit to overseed.

There are too many tree roots around (as this is a yard, turned paddock and now going back to a yard) to run anything too deep. I'm fairly certain that a notched disk will be fine. In areas where I need something a little deeper, I'll probably drop the teeth on a box and plow a little.

Tractor supply are now carrying "Farm Force", which look suspiciously like KK to me, about $850.
Sundowner have an 6 1/2 ft 18 inch diameter disk for (list) around $1250.

There are several manufactures of disk harrows with light, med and heavy duty frames, the box frames with adjustable harrows look to be the best built.
