It is stated on the jug that it is processed using RO. I don't know about the labeling. Filtered is much different than RO.
RO is filtered water. Reverse osmosis uses a filter membrane with holes so small that water gets through (under pressure) but many contaminates don't or at least don't very much.
The water pressure is to overcome the osmotic pressure and get a flow in the opposite direction. This can desalinate sea water BUT... the osmotic pressure is way higher necessitating high pressures to get the reverse flow.
What is generally referred to as filtered water (as opposed to RO) is passed through a filter with pores much larger than just above the size of water molecules. Filters of various types remove different impurities but removing dissolved minerals and salt is not ordinarily accomplished with "standard" filter.
