I never thought of the tubes, I held them loosely balanced in my hands and locked my elbows. This made me think that 1) you can fake the effect and 2) your body influences the field. Seems like the tubes should help validate a result because you can build a fixture to eliminate human inteference...

The effect _could_ be faked if the tubes are handheld by tilting the tubes slighty. In my case I have tried to detect anything I am doing to cause them to cross and have been unable to see anything. I can make them cross and open merely by standing over the spot and swaying back a forth.

Why the scientific test show no effect is beyond me but that million dollar offer has been tried several times and everyone failed.

I would really love to have someone who knows exaclty where a buried line was, and I didn't, would have me try to find it...of course that comes back to 'are there any clues as to where it has to be?'

Hmmm...I did trace out what was supposed to be a water line to the well for a neighbor. One of the lines I found traced perfectly from the house out to the middle of the yard and ended. Nothing on the surface. I doubt if she would let me dig in that spot to see what is there.

well, my wife's uncle told me about this several times over the years....i just laughed at him and told him he was full of crap!..... he just shrugged his shoulders at me and grin like, "soot yourself...."

well, one day i was trying to find the neighbor's septic tank and her uncle happened to call....i told him what we were doing.......he told me to get two clothes hangers....before he could finish, i interrupted him and said, 'hey, what are you talking about, we're trying to find a septic tank...." then he said, 'well, listen dang it, i'm gonna tell you how"

of course i was thinking he was nuts that it was a wasted of time.......but then i thought what the heck and went and got two clothes hangers.......

i felt like a fool out there walking around my yard with my new neighbor thinking i was pulling a trick on him......i walked over where i knew the general area of my septic tank was....yep, found it......i walked over my water line, yep there it is......walked over my 4" buried downspout drain and there they were......yeah, i knew the vicinity but not the exact locations of some of them.......if i had placed markers, i could have shown their exact locations....

now, when i went over to the neighbors and looked for his tank, where we thought it should be, they crossed.......long story short, it turned out to be over in a fenced area of his yard that i never tried.....i may not have found his tank but as much as i don't believe it, where the wires crossed i'd bet some money there is something there.....

i dunno, i'm not as skeptical as i used to be....

i just don't see how it could tell the difference in a hollow pipe, septic tank, water well, open hole, depth, etc.......

my grandpa talks about them all the time but he always said his dad was a skeptic until he dug and dug.....couldn't find water then called in a water witch...found it first time.....grandpa says he and his dad don't believe in it but he'd never dig a well without calling one first....

I Here you mbohuntr , i,ve seen it done , No clue What Made it happen Or what it Meant , But it DID Happen . My dad Used a Guy after We put Down 5 different wells & couldn,t find any decent water .

The Guy He Used Walked around for Awhile & Stopped at a spot & Said . Putter down right here, Theres a Good Natural Stream . & Darned if it wasn,t Great water right smack in the middle of the other wells we put down , Was it luck, Maybe but sure didn,t Matter to Us at the time . I,ve seen a lot of Things I cant Explain . But Just Because Someone says It Cant be Proved ( On a Quick Internet Search ) dont Mean it dont Exist IMO .

I,m still Going to Try the wire Deal Because I Have no Idea Where the Lines could be Buryed due to the trees all over the place & its over a 200 foot run . If it works Fine , If Not Oh well . . Bob

Yea it's easy to be a skeptic when you live on top of a large aquifer .

I know I have seen my share of $15000 800 ft deep holes with dust in the bottom.

Have also seen my share of families surviving on 3 gal a min. well's in area's where there was supposed to be no water and very happy to have that, verses hauling every drop they use about 40 mile.

The difference? A man with a gift.

This stuff has been over and over. It has expanded to cover septic tank lines, tanks, sprinkler lines, fuel oil lines, etc. There is absolutely no logic why this would work. Just what is common with wood sticks, bent coat hangers, and a swinging pendulum. Heck, they even sell the rods at the flea markets, bent rods inside PVC handles with red beads on the ends, and I suppose that is so the rods can swing freely. If you are talking about magnetic field, how does the wood sticks fit in? Does it have to be running water? Just what spirit force is in any one of us to use this magic. What do you think those sticks or rods would do in the state of Florida, spin around like a windmill, there is water about 8 ft down every where.
Just about everyone has heard about the technique of witching/dowsing, but no one has collected the millions of dollars that was put up to challenge anyone that could repeat this a certain number times. If one can do it every time, and train someone else to find water every time, then it would be a scientific fact, which would be believable. There are web sites dedicated to this phenomenon, but they say you have to believe. Come on, really. You can believe in love also, but where does that get you. That special power comes and goes with the spirit of the person, and that is only if you believe in spirits.

I already know what some of you are going to say, but I put out a challenge awhile back on this subject. It was detailed and specific.

Go ahead and ask your self why this is possible, other than to say I just can, or he just can. There may be some special people on this earth, and I wish they would stand up and take charge, cause I don't think we are doing so good right now.

I just have to answer back on things like this because it is my nature to do so. I apologize to any one that I may have offended.

My uncle who I've seen regularly witch succesfully says you have to tell the rods what to look for and how deep.
