I called my friend at the autoparts store. He'd never heard of filling tires with foam. He suggested trying Slime as well, and it worked-- well, I slimed the tire, spun it around, turned it around, etc. a bit, and then inflated it, and had to go on a trip for a few days, and it is still inflated. We'll see how it holds up when I get the machine out to turn hay and go through the edges of the field where some thorny bushes got cut.
There are a zillion different types of spray foams here, more than I've seen in, say Home Depot in Atlanta. High expansion, low expansion, cold weather curing, etc. And, there is foam that is used as an adhesive for mounting styrofoam insulation panels onto the side of buildings, so I think this would be the least expanding, so if the Slime doesn't keep things going, I'll be getting some of that.
