My brother-in-law tried this with a treadmill he found on trash day. It worked... really well!
He was able to mix relativily large amounts of concrete by himself while myself and one of his sons spread out the mix. The contraption completely eliminated what was previously very hard work!
What you're seeing is a grading bucket on a john deere 310 backhoe dumping gravel onto a treadmill. the sides are carpet\plywood, it's all propped up on a bunch of skids\scrap etc.
