DK 35 hi\low shifter stiff

I bought a used DK 35 with 165 hours on it. Tractor looks about like new. The only thing I have to question is how stiff should the high to low range shifter be?? Mine is very stiff. I am hopeing that it will get better with some more use. How about it does anyone else feel that their shifter is stiff??

I had that issue on my ck20 a while back, i had it parked outside most of the time and the weather, dirt and dust got to it. now i just spray the linkage points with some wd-40 every couple of months....

I have almost 800 hours on my DK35 and the selector is still stiff. Just keep it lubricated and it will be fine.

I only have 48 hours on mine, but it's stiff as well, if you mean going out or into a gear. But, I find that it is really due to the area I park it in. It's hard to shift when I am parked on an incline, otherwise it shifts real smooth. Maybe it's a matter of pressure on it form the weight of the tractor? Between gears it's really smooth.

I am talking about the high, low shifter not the four speed gear shifter. I have not used the high to low shifter much because fourth gear low range is slow so I run in first gear high range for what I have been doing. I will look some more at the linkage but I did not see anything wrong with it. Will get some more seat time this weekend and see if it gets easier to shift after some use.
