DK-40 2 questions.....

EASY. Two 10mm nutz on the firewall. Push down on the tab in the middle of the connector and wiggle the display unit loose- they tend to be stuck tight to the connector. I put some Vaseline on the outside of the female,(white) connector, so they would be easier to separate if needed in future.

How do you reach Tom Martell?
Thx,
CM

I will sent you PM tonight, if I remember!

I don't have a block heater on my '40 and is lives outside under an open shed. It will always start in sub freezing(low teens to single digits) weather if I cycle the glow plug circuit 3 times. If I only cycle once, the engine chugs and clatters excessivly.
Have y'all noticed the steering wheel gets frozen in place until the engine warms up a bit?

Yes, the wheel will tend to freeze up, on both my former DK-35 and now my DK-40. Michigan Iron & Equip. mentioned, when I brought this issue up on the 35, that there is a kit that can be installed to help prevent freeze-up.
I've decide to live with it since it cures itself after warm-up.
