DK 45 remote hydraulics kit

posted this in another thread too...

I'm looking at this Kioti kit also...I already have rear remotes that power the backhoe and have hydro lines run to the front of the tractor...currently i use the A/B lever to control the rear remotes and in theory would use the same to control a grapple...not ideal as the A/B lever locks open/closed.

How would this kit make things better? I was quoted $450 installed.

thanks, John.

Hi John,
The add on kit that goes fron single remotes to double remotes do not have the detents.(Part #322013) The first set that comes with the tractor has detents the second add on kit should not have the detents and should work smoothly.

Thanks Dave - so does the second (new) set of remotes have a separate lever? and that's why it doesn't have the detents? If a new lever, does it sit next to the bucket hydro controller? and will it operate both sets of remotes (the old and the new) in the rear so I can run a top and tilt set up...whereas i can only run one or the other today ...is that correct? Or will the new lever only control the new set of remotes?

John.

Hi,
It only runs the new remotes and the lever sits right along side the original remote lever.

so I guess that way i can leave the back hoe connected and operate the grapple open and close...are there products which integrate better with the bucket controller (like the joystick button i've read about) and, if so, what do those setups cost? do they give me much more flexiblity?

thank you.

THe joystick control 3rd function is the top notch way to go but it does have a price tag. one benifit to it is your hand never leaves the joystick.
The valve we put on give you a true 3rd function you can lift, angle, and roll all at the same time. It is a slick set up.
If your installing it yourself your looking in the ball park of $600-650
It will take about 4 hours to install.

perhaps I didn't understand the prior posts Rick...

are you saying the new stick can control BOTH sets of remotes, therefore, allowing the control of two different hydraulic cylinders - which would mean it would control a top and tilt set up? and the existing A/B lever, it's still used but only for simply reversing the flow to the existing set of remotes?

Do I have that correct?

No the function that I am talking about has nothing to do with the rear remotes..This one gets plumbed into the power beyond of the loader valve and you run 2 new hydraulic hoses up to the front of the loader.
Don't pay any attention to the wire that something different.

now i'm more confused ...

I understand that the Kioti kit will run new hoses to the front and a new lever will be added next to the current A/B lever...but how can you "lift, angle, and roll all at the same time"? Does this new lever take over the lift and roll functions of the present loader joystick? If not, wouldn't I need "two right hands" to control the present joystick and new stick simultaneously?

Also, I already have lines run from the back of the tractor to the front...should I just abandon those with this new kit?

sorry, I'm not getting it...

I think the new kit would simply add a third function to the loader. It would include lines that run down the loader arm to a set of remotes like those in the picture. It should also include the valve and some sort of control.

The question for Wallace would be, does the kit include a thumb switch that mounts on the loader control lever or is it a new loader control lever or what type of control does the third function have. I assume it is integrated into the loader control lever so that you can lift/dump/grapple or other third funtion all from the same lever? Do you have a picture of the control?
