I GOT IT!!!

I picked up my DK 35 last night.

I was off on the hours a little. I thought it was 38 but had 48. So when I got it home I got to do the first oil and filter change. I also read through all the manuals. That was hilarious! I liked the “be careful of your hands by hot oil” line. In the manual it also talks about and point to a feeding port that looks like wires going to the alternator. I assumed they were talking about the long clear hose going to the top of the engines valve cover? I was confused so I did what I have done a thousand times before and removed the cap from the valve cover to put the oil in.

I was in the garage so much last night my wife was going to put my pillow and blanket in the bucket for me to sleep in.

I can’t wait to go out this evening and play! I’ve got some dirt to move and some grass to cut. The hardest part is deciding what to do first.

Do I need to do anything else at 50 hrs? The so called manual talks about draining water out of the clutch housing. This would have been a good place for one of those pictures with an arrow on it. The manual also says at 50 hrs to change the transmission oil, change the oil in the front axle support, and clean the hydraulic oil filter. I think I remember reading some were at TBN the oil is the only thing at 50 hrs.

Thanks TBN

Congrats on the new tractor! I've only got about 8 hours on my DK 40, so I can't help you with the service questions. I can tell you that you will LOVE your new Kioti!

Thanks Hoosier.

I like it all ready and I haven’t put it to work yet.

Looks like I have to wait till tomorrow. Got to watch the kids this evening.

Only 8 hrs on your DK40? You better get working (or should I say playing?)

BTD, Your Kioti manuals will keep you laughing through the winter months.
The other members are no doubt sick of me bringing this up so often but, isn't proof reading after translation an established procedure??What were they thinking??
Anyway, make sure you "feed your oil perfectly",I'm not making this up!...........Mike

BTD,
Had the 50hr oil change done at 47hr on my DK40.The dealer said nothing else needed to be done until 150-200hrs.At that point you replace the hydrualic fluid. He didn't mention the differential fluid.I'm not mechanical so I have to depend on the dealer and this board.

Sorry northcreek2624, I didn’t feed my oil perfectly. I think I spilled a drip or two. You are right about the proof reading. At least run it through a spell and grammar checker. I was reading some of it to my boy who is in the first grade and we were both laughing.

Thanks Kiotimike, I new I read somewhere that oil and filter change was the only service needed at 50 hrs. I’m no mechanic either but wanted to at least do the simple stuff. This manual even makes an oil change complicated.
