I GOT IT!!!
I picked up my DK 35 last night.
I was off on the hours a little. I thought it was 38 but had 48. So when I got it home I got to do the first oil and filter change. I also read through all the manuals. That was hilarious! I liked the “be careful of your hands by hot oil” line. In the manual it also talks about and point to a feeding port that looks like wires going to the alternator. I assumed they were talking about the long clear hose going to the top of the engines valve cover? I was confused so I did what I have done a thousand times before and removed the cap from the valve cover to put the oil in.
I was in the garage so much last night my wife was going to put my pillow and blanket in the bucket for me to sleep in.
I can’t wait to go out this evening and play! I’ve got some dirt to move and some grass to cut. The hardest part is deciding what to do first.
Do I need to do anything else at 50 hrs? The so called manual talks about draining water out of the clutch housing. This would have been a good place for one of those pictures with an arrow on it. The manual also says at 50 hrs to change the transmission oil, change the oil in the front axle support, and clean the hydraulic oil filter. I think I remember reading some were at TBN the oil is the only thing at 50 hrs.
Thanks TBN
