the 4 wh dr lever is really stiff also,,been lubing it little and it is starting to get easier,,this tractor hasnt been used much in the last couple years and everything is stiff, the acelarator lever is stiff as a poker also, got this thing for so so I cant complain,,I pressure washed it and gave it good waxing and it really looks good.
The RPM control lever can be stiff on these, but the solution is to remove the two clamshell like covers, screws are underneath and loosen up the bolts which allow the lever to move more easily, and lube up the connections with copper based anti-seize. I did it once and done for eternity.
