55 amps. BUT as in all alternators it only produces 55 amps when spun at a specified (high) RPM and at a specified Temperature (cold).. A realistic output would be 40 amps when it is hot.

Thank you, Here is a rating curve for the alternator. I do not know what the pulley ratio is, so I cannot correlate the alternator RPM with Engine RPM. It would have been nice if they had rated it by engine RPM.
