I've been talking for years and finally I have done it. I've moved into a cab tractor. I'm excited for it to arrive and to make it mine. It is a used 2010 DK40se hst with 574 hours. I'm hoping it will serve me well and be all that my old MF130 and Kubota L275 isn't , warm in the winter.

My wife is the one who talked me into going with a cabbed tractor. I am so glad.:thumbsup:

It just got landed in my yard while I was away on Friday. I finally got to look it over good a bit yesterday and I can see some areas that need preventative maintenance. 2 elbows that are in the heater lines that come out the bottom of the front right cab corners are a little flakey with rust, some,rusty areas that need cleaning up and repaint as I don't think it has ever been stored inside.
I started pulling off the interior plastic so I could run an aux. cord for my phone to the stereo for music (3rd world problems I know) and have discovered that there had been a few coffees spilt in it over the past 6 years. I now have the whole right side interior plastic removed and have been scrubbing it with spray 9 and a tooth brush cleaning out all the little crevices. Already a big improvement to how the interior is looking plus the spilt coffee inside the plastic was gross. I'm loving it still!
It's also been raining steady since it arrived and I've noticed a leak around the front windshield that I want to get fixed next. It's only small but I didn't buy a cab so I could have water leaks. I buy sunroofs in cars for that

Had a great evening after work today. Finally got to get some real seat time, about an hour, moving some of the horse manure we've amassed over the last few years. What a treat to push into the pile with the much bigger bucket and have heat, lights and tunes all the while. The Mrs. gave it a try also and enjoyed it but found it different from some other brands that she'd operated in the past at her previous jobs. Oh the fun has just begun!
