Several suggestions here that I have not tried. Thanks to all who took time to respond. I will report back if they help.

On my CK30 HST I tried all the tricks mentioned and I still managed to break the handle clean off and it is still stuck? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

On my DK 35, when I want to engage or disengage the 4 WD I push/pull on the 4 wheel drive leaver while driving, accelate hard with the foot throttle and leave off on the throttle while I have slight pressure on the 4 wheel drive lever and it easily engages into or out of 4 wheel drive every time.
No stoping, no grinding, no fuss. Works smooth and easy for me every time.

OK Fellas,

Tried everything mentioned in this post but no improvement. Appears that other models have this problem also.

There have been times that I have gotten stuck in 2wd and could not roll or lift the tractor. If I would not have been able to engage FWD it would have been really stuck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

My son and I have discussed trying to fabricate another lever that would provide more leverage. Wonder if it is possible to convert manual FWD to pushbutton as is used now.

Any other ideas?

George
