Great idea! I did not break any bolts yet........ I could see how that would happen. I just did not want to do any damage to the tractor. Thanks for the info..

Hello DonnyJ, I also live near McConnellsburg, and have been looking at the Kioti DK45S, did you purchase it from the dealer in Everett, PA? Would it be possible for me to see it?

Hello Donny, I want to thank you for allowing me to come over and see your new DK45S. I must say that the Kioti is a very robust, and stoutly built tractor. A few features really stickout in my mind as being outstanding. The rear control for the 3 pt. hitch, the creeper gear option, and the great clearance between the fenders, and rear wheels. New Holland engineers, pay attention! I'm not real keen on the chrome DK45S emblems, don't know why Kioti does that. Very out of place for a tractor, and I don't like that at all. I also have some reservations about the use of electric clutches for the PTO, and the engagement of the 4WD. I was a bit surprised you were not able to remove the "quick detach" loader at all, and the dealers recomendation of getting the mounting holes reamed to fit better. Well first the loader needs to be removed. My friend who came along with me has a John Deere 670 tractor with quick detach loader, with over 2500 hours on his machine, and the loader still comes off, and goes on easy. Been that way since new he stated. He also has not babied his machine, actually I believe he has tried to win the National "bucking bronco" tractor rodeo every year with his John Deere 670. Overall I though that the Kioti was the best bang for the buck. It has the side shifter like the newer John Deeres, shifted very smooth also just like the Deeres. I personally would have like to see a sloped loader like the New Holland, and the grease fitting on the outside of the loader arms. The loader was the only draw back to me, as we discussed. The bucket looked smaller that my friend's bucket on his New Holland TC35A. Don't know if I need the load leveling feature. The underside didn't have anything that would grab and brush when traveling through the woods off the beated path, and that was a big plus. Once again thanks for a wonderful afternoon of talking tractors, and allowing me to take your new DK45S for a spin.

I suspect the paint was not removed from the holes for the pins on Donny's loader when it was installed. Normally they are easy to remove, but if someone drives in the pins rather than cleaning the hole of paint before assembly, they are very hard to remove the first time. Once this is corrected, the loader will go on and off quite nicely.

Does anyone know where the electric silonoid for the 2wd to 4wd sits? Is it outside the transmission, or buried down in the transmission? And what is with the grease fitting being inside the boom? Is this feature patented by New Holland? Seeems so inconvenient to place them inside the boom for greaseing. Also for the electric PTO, is it acessible for service, or replacement? Does anyone know replacement cost for these units? Has anyone ever had one go bad?

No problem at all. I'm very confident of the tractor overall and welcome anybody to come over and use it. The only way to make a decision on buying in my opinion. Now there are things I would like to see different on the tractor, but nothing that has left a bad taste in my mouth. As far as the loader removal goes, when I get a chance I will address that again. Frankly, I find everytime I use the tractor I need the loader. I do wish Kioti put the joystick loader control on the fender and put a bigger bucket on the loader. 72" is ok, but the depth should be deeper. Comfortable, well balanced, and great overall working tractor. Like I said, I have no problem letting anybody try it out. I believe the tractor speaks for itself. Thanks again, and keep in touch. Good luck in what ever decision you make.

I'm with Donny. I am pleased with my choice. I would guess that there is always something we'd like to have a little different. I have yet to remove anything more than the toothbar from the loader. As far as the bucket configuration and capacity is concerned, I too would have liked something a little more capeable volume wise. Yes, the joystick control for the loader might have been better placed. If that's about all I can add, then I have to say that I did OK. Nothing relative to the tractor, but I Wish I would have gone ahead and had the tires filled for ballast etc. Anyeay, I can't say enough good things!!
