DK45S fuel tank removal

You could also look into Bond-N-Fill. I don't know if it would adhere to that type of material but if it does it won't let go. I'd call the manufacturer and ask them if it would hold, depending on what you find the tank to be made of. I'd maybe contact Kioti corporate if your dealer dusts you off because of warranty.

Good thought on calling corporate. I am thinking HDPE on the tank material.

Contacted dealer. He sent pics to Kioti. We'll see. I have a 2000 F150 that ford recalled for tank straps that could cause corrosion and leaks in the gas tank= fire hazard. That truck is long outta warranty and they WANT to fix it. If they just send me a tank, I'd be happy.

dk fuel leak 001.JPGdk fuel leak 002.JPGdk fuel leak 003.JPGA positive update. I was wrong on my above assumption. Dealer was very helpful/instrumental in getting this issue resolved. Kioti sent me a new tank under a parts only warranty. Obvious that Kioti felt there was a problem as the tank has been redesigned slightly in the fuel pick-up area. Much improved and should stay outta trouble now.001.JPG002.JPG003.JPG

It's nice to see you have a dealer that will work for you when a probable design defect caused it to leak even just out of warranty. Just some work for you but a new free part is definately nice to get you up and running.

Update, Dove into tractor last night and finished tank install. Let me tell you, don't try to shortcut the install as you will just frustrate yourself. Tank must go in with the main support and tank securement strap as an assembly. I tried to see if main frame around tank could be put in and then the tank,no go. Would need about an inch more of clearance which is not there. Unfortunately, I did not take pics for the whole procedure because tractor has been down for 3 weeks waiting on parts, then cooler weather. Anyway, me happy now.

MY 2007 also has a leak and I only have 550 hours. We started trying to remove tank but do not know if the dash most be removed?
This should be a recall due to fire hazzard. You would at least think Kioti could post iinstructions for this tank removal.

Welcome to TBN. You've revived a somewhat dead thread, which is OK, but if you do a further search I think you will find numerous threads with detailed breakdown of how to remove the tank. One thing is for sure it is NOT an easy straightforward job, but if your tank is leaking it must be done.
