DK45S Radiator Drain

OK, I give up! I just spent 30 minutes trying to find the drain on the radiator. The manual shows it next to the hood release knob (on the right front). Nothing there. Help.

I'm guessing it's on the bottom of he radiator, somewhere, but it's too dark for me to go out and look at mine. But seriously, if you plan to drain the whole cooling system just pull the lower hose off the radiator. It's messy but fast and you'll get rid of a lot more crud.

Drained my DS4510 today and it's up there, a white platic tap. You need to get under the tractor to see it. Access for your fingers to turn it is a little tight.
The fluid flows out from the tap through a tube that allows the coolant to be caught cleanly by a container behind the front axle.
No mess and well designed.

I thought of pulling the radiator hose, too, but didn't want to make a big mess.

On my Diesel cars, eliminating air from the cooling system was always a problem. The engine would overheat if there was much air in the cooling system. I don't know if Kioti tractors have this problem or not. Comments from other owners?

In any event, refilling the cooling system through the upper radiator hose (vs. the radiator fill cap) usually eliminated the air bubble problem in my Diesel cars.
