Tractor
Looking
I have an opportunity to take on more land. I'm sure I will need a larger tractor to handle additional tasks. Entertaining the idea of possibly round baling about 35 to 45 acres. I don't believe the 45S will handle a round baler. So my question is how much to ask for a 1 year old, 100 hour 45S? I know it will be competing against new. Longer warranty and better financing with new. I really want to go larger with a cab if possible. I really don't think I will purchase new this time. I'm going to let the tooth bar go with the tractor along with a set of Cat.2 lower links along with the standard Cat.1 links. Any ideas on what is a fair price?

You are going to take a "woopin" with the sale unless you get lucky. I agree, the 45 is a nice tractor but to small for any serious or semiserious farming operations. To bad you can't keep the 45 and get a used 80 to 100 hp International. Good friend has one, I think he said 130 hp? but it has 12,000 hrs on it with no problems and still running strong.
Start at $18,500 for your tractor, drop down a bit if you have to?? You don't even have it broke in yet.

Donny, there is a new FarmTrac/TYM dealer on the way to Bedford, right off Rt. 30. He had a FarmTrac 75, 85, and 95hp tractor. They were really nice. He might swing you a good deal with your Kioti as a trade in. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Per your quote yesterday ( I have been offered more for my tractor now than when I bought it over a year ago brand new. So either the resale value has stayed very good or I just bought the tractor at a good price. Either way you look at it, the resale value on my Kioti is very good. )

I'd just take your profit and move on up in size.
