DK45S selling price

Per your quote yesterday ( I have been offered more for my tractor now than when I bought it over a year ago brand new. So either the resale value has stayed very good or I just bought the tractor at a good price. Either way you look at it, the resale value on my Kioti is very good. )

I'd just take your profit and move on up in size.

Makes sense to me...
I may be moving to a city lot soon, and I'll jump on the chance if someone offers me more than I paid for my tractor!

I don't need to move up in price as well. The quotes were for trade in on a new tractor. I don't need a new tractor. I need to purchase additional attachments if I buy something bigger. I'm debating about either advertising locally or maybe just trying to square bale everything. The only reason I would need a larger tractor would be to handle a round baler. I feel confident the 45S would handle a 7' haybine. Raking and squarebaling would be easy enough for that tractor. Other possibilities would be a 1650 Oliver, or a 165 Massey, or even a 5000 Ford. All would handle round baling. Any one of those tractors would be well under 8K and they would handle all the duties easy enough. Only problem though is you give up 4 wheel drive. Decisions decisions. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is buying a used bigger tractor for bailing, but keeping your 4wd Kioti for everything you are currently using it for an option? You could keep all of your current implements for the DK45, only using the bigger tractor for bailing.

Sounds good. Only problem is I still need to purchase the additional equipment. I figure with selling the tractor and stepping down in price of a used tractor there would be enough to purchase equipment. Such as baler, haybine, rake. Might be more cost effective just to square bale. Much lower intial cost up front. Great advice though. Thanks!!

Since you need that much equipment, have you considered just advertising for a trade. Older larger tractor with baler, rake, etc., for your shiny newer FWD Kioti?
