I have thought of that as well. Great idea! Thanks! I have some time to think about it right now. I might just let one of the locals bale everything. I sure do miss being in the hay field though. Dad gave it up about 2 years ago and it just kind of sticks with you. Nothing like the smell of fresh cut hay. Plus its great exercise. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Now it sounds like I'm trying to talk myself into it.

Oh, my misunderstanding. I took your previous statement of your Kioti gaining value at face value. I didn't understand that you were referring to a dealer giving a 3000 to 4000 dollar or more over allowance to create the "profit" on the value of your trade. When I talk about making a profit on a tractor, I mean to actually sell the tractor for more money than I paid for it. Now it makes sense as to why you ask about a real selling price. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

According to the dealers I talked to the asking price if I was selling it outright is another 1500 to 2000 over what a trade in value would be. The same principal if you sell a automobile on your own or trade it in. Selling it on your own results in higher price. I have not even advertised it yet. I do know new is about 5 to 6K higher than what I paid.

But I thought I read where you were offered MORE than you paid. You should have jumped on it and not worried about trade-in value.

As I said before....... The trade in price was higher than what I paid. According to the Blue Book value the selling it outright price would be another 1500 to 2000 over the trade in price. Do you have any idea of a fair selling price? That is what I originally wanted to know.

I have yet to advertise. That is why I asked the question of a fair selling price. I really got no response so I called a couple of dealers to compare pricing. It really is just a simple question, don't you think?
