I know Ford and few other manufacturers have drank the environment coolaid cr@p and switched to soy based plastics and foams. The soy apparently attracts all sorts of rodents and they love eating that stuff. Hoses, plastic boxes under the hood, liners, etc. So a ton of people are having issues with rodents destroying their vehicles and getting stuck in weird places causing bad smell etc.
Wonder if you're having the same issue.
