You can believe what you want but that is not necessarily true.

Yes, I have owned more Fords than any other brand but most of them were trucks and I feel in the 3/4 ton market and up Ford has ruled the roost for the last 15 plus years.

I have also owned Toyota, Mercury, Infinity, Nissan, Honda, GMC, Chevy, Saturn, BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, and probably a few more I forgot about.

At the end of the day the Fords have treated me well as some of the other brands while some brands just did not cut it for me.

Right now our fleet consist of a 2006 F-350, 2008 Nissan Titan, and a 2007 BMW 335I. So call it what you want but while I think Ford makes the best 3/4 ton truck and up I have owned them all.

So when did you own a Cummins powered RAM...?
Ford makes a good truck but their powertrain still has yet to last more than a couple of years and prove to be reliable.

As far as the Dodge glow plugs...never said what year or model I was referring to, just the brand.

the Ram 50 had a diesel it but it was Mitsubishi. that is the only light duty truck from Dodge other than the 250/2500 and 350/3500 with a diesel that I can recall.
And if you are referring to the latter they NEVER have had glowplugs

So in your eyes, which FORD BUILT truck engine was reliable and proven...

Quit playing games.:confused2: You know we are talking diesels here and Ford just introduced a FORD BUILT engine. All the previous ones were built by International.

I am not going to argue with you. Both my 6.0L's and the 6 5.4L's have been and were absolutely trouble free. Its not just about the motor for me, its the total package. In my eyes Ford has the best total package. You may see it different and Builder may see it another way.

To be honest in all the vehicles I have owned I have only had motor problems with one, a 89 S-10 Blazzer that blew its POS 4.3L at around 30K. So motors are not the end all in a good vehicle. Tons of other things can go wrong.

My co-pilot just spent $860 due to a dead battery on a 08 Caddy yesterday plus a day missed of work and a night in a hotel along with food. Probably cost him nearly $1000 when it was all said and done.

Diamond, If Gm is still using the same glow-plugs from Ac, most of the time they just screw out..I used never sieze when putting them back. I owned one of the Silverado 6.2 diesel jokes for years. It did melt the tip off a glow plug, but hard-knocked a few minutes and spit it out the exhaust, no damage that time? That engine was a mess from the day it was screwed together?It nearly Ruined my Image of GM and their engineers> JMHO.
