Do any Kubota BX23S Owners have this?

I bought a new BX23S last fall in October. I haven't used it yet and it's been sitting in my garage. Today, I was scoping it out because I am getting ready to do some projects. I noticed a couple of issues:

1. Underneath the operator platform on each side, it appears as if there was a larger metal bushing that was replaced with a smaller one. The bolts are not even centered in the hole. Does your BX23S look like this?
2. There is leaking (some drops on the floor) at the loader hydraulic quick connect (see picture). I did not do anything just yet other than look at it. Have any of you seen this or have had the same leakage?

I would appreciate your comments and advice.

Thank you.

My 2380 does not have that bracket arrangement, so I can't help much there. Does look a little odd, tho.

I think there may have a been a recall for the leaking valve block. I would consult your dealer on that, and get it fixed ASAP. Luckily, mine didn't have that issue, but it has been a known problem for some.

You bought a new piece of equipment and didn't touch it for nearly half a year? Did you leave pressure in the system? Was the loader down, then the stick worked with the engine off? If you left a system pressurized and stagnant for 5 months with only a few drops out the quick coupler to show for it count your lucky stars.

Can't help you with the bolts, though I'd guess that there was a washer there, not a bushing. Do you have a backhoe and/or mower deck for this thing? Can we get some overall pictures?

I started it a few times and moved it out so I can work in the garage. I usually let the loader down after turning it off. Are you saying I should move the stick around so it depressurizes? I used to have a BX25 that would sit for months and I'm not sure I moved the sticks after turning it off. It never leaked.

Thanks.

Here are some pis:

Sorry, I meant to quote TheMadOne on my reply above.

I've owned several BXs, Bs and a couple of Ls and none of them ever leaked a drop of hyd fluid except those that had a loose connection (Have had a couple or three of those) which after I tightened the fittings never leaked another drop. I may don't usually wiggle stick after shut off unless I plan to change the front hyd controlled SSQA attachment. (Grapple, front back hoe, hyd post hole digger, Tree grabber grapple)

That is likely a loose hydraulic connector.

Just be sure to tighten all of the connectors with an open end wrench.

Don't overtighten. Go easy since too tight will leak.

There definitely is something strange about the connection points for the BH frame. A bolt with the pressures exerted by a by BH would indicate there should be a bushing in the hole to take up the space. There was some king of blank over those holes when the tractor frame was painted. The BH is added just before delivery. They think come from the distribution point separated. My BX 25 BH and the FEL were installed by the dealer. Someone failed to do the assembly right. Go look at one at the dealer's lot and then discuss it with them. Things like that maybe why someone no longer works there.

Re: Do any Kubota BX23S Owners have this?

That doesn't look lime a bushing. I think who ever put it together saw a space and used a old washer laying around to shim it. not sure why he did that. But i would bring it up with the dealer and ask why. Maybe look at his other bx on lot to see if they did the same. As for leak... You just gotta hunt it down and const out where its coming from.
