Much depends on the size of the dealer. Better chance of that in agri country where dealers are supplying farms with equipment.
For the "mom and pop store" type of tractor dealership, not so much on tractors because we didn't have any until about this past August. The new stuff (compacts and utility machines) is about 3-5K more than last year and as a dealer, we have zero control over that.
There are some "financing" incentives but to incentivise sales with cheaper pricing when we are paying an appreciable amount more per tractor becomes difficult. Profit margins have also taken a hit.
For us to make the statement of "year end sales" will have to do more with generators, chainsaws, mowers , etc.
