I would think about a L48tlb or the M59 tlb both would be great choices the backhoe comes of quick and easy I had a l35 and the back hoe power was amazing, in about 1 minute you can have the hoe off and throw the 3 point arms on and your ready to go. They also have more lifting capacity on the loader but you can not remove the loaders ,both would work great for you I think check them out. Make sure you get the rear tires loaded.
I have checked out the M59 and L48 but just don't think I want the loader to permanently attached... I can see that getting old in a really rough field or while trying to make my way though the trees in the woods... I know it's a hassle to disconnect the loader and hoe on some of the other models but I believe it would be worth it for me...

I'm thinking a M7040 would be about right if it were your only tractor. Large enough to do some heavier duty work, but small enough to be useful for general utility type work as well. IMO the M8540/9540 are too big for many tasks. Things like digging post holes, grading the driveway, hauling firewood, etc are all handled easier with a smaller tractor. I really like my B3200 for a small tractor, often I'll use it in conjunction with our M9540 and they make a great pair. However, as I mentioned before, I'd want something about 60hp if it were the only tractor.
