Do it yourself exhaust system

/ Do it yourself exhaust system #11
I was always going to build one myself. I got some blowers off some gas hot water heaters for the exhaust. Its a small squirrel cage, 115v. Then I was going to use dryer duct to build everything.

The wife wanted to stop bye this liquidation store closing sale; boring but we where right there so in we go.

I put my son in a shopping cart and was doing the rounds; killing time (probably 4 go arounds) when on the 5th something caught my eye...

2 7 foot lock and tug vacuum hoses for my rigid shop vac. In the cart they go. Asked the cashier how much...$2/each!

So for $4 I have my exhaust hose for my welding fume extraction via shop vac

Here are the two 2 1/2 inch hoses I picked up for $4 joined together

Rigid accessory hose kit piece with O-Ring and 2" Rubber plumbing boot

And the HD $5 bucket with a 2" hole cut in the bottom via hole saw. Rigid accessory hard piece is cut down so that boot can hold O-Ring snug on the inside.

Did a quick test and think it will work nicely!

Will probably test run as is and cut the bucket down if needed

Eric
