This is a sticker on my YM226. I guess it means don't pull it behind another vehicle  ... Does your power shift tractor have this sticker??? If you put this tractor in Neutral (both places) wouldn't the transmission gears not turn???? I hope I never have to tow it, but if I am down the road and it "breaks",,,, what ya do??? I guess it would be alright for a short distance say;; one mile or less!!!!!

I'm sure dem Japanese didn't mean;; Don't tow somin behind tractor!!!! :D :D

I have a 2220D with "power shift." My manual [it has been wrong before] says.

"Be sure the hydraulic system is at the full mark on the dipstick. If tractor is to be towed with the front end raised, add 1 quart.

Make sure differential lock is dis-engaged.

Place the range lever and the gear lever in neutral.

Place the 4wd lever in 2wd [if equipped].

Place PTO lever in neutral.

It also states "Never tow tractor faster than it's maximum travel speed in the highest gear. Never tow above 16MPH. Check local laws on towing.

So I assume you can indeed "tow" it but before you do place everything in Neutral and don't go faster than 16 MPH. Oh, and don't forget to check those local laws.;)

Got my manuals yesterday and read up on it. Mine says basically the same thing. As far as the law (man), there aint none ever come out this far, if they did they might catch some of these people from another country throwing out all their trash on the side of the road.

You must live about as far in the "sticks" as I do. If there is such a law in my neck of the woods they just turn there heads, as I have never had a problem. I regularly drive my tractor the two miles or so to my Sisters house to plow her garden etc. I've seen the County Cops drive past me and all they ever do is throw up a hand to say hi.

I see you also have the same problem with people throwing their trash alongside the roadways, the city folk also think we need their unwanted cats and dogs as they are all to willing to drop off a few all to often. We currently have five cats and three dogs, guess where the majority came from? I just wish they would spay or neuter the darn things before they showered us with their "gifts". Sure would save me a few bucks.
