You just hit upon the reason why I (lifetime AMA member) believe in mandatory helmet laws for motorcycles.

Another reason I wear my seat belt is I'm taking blood thinner medicine and I sure don't want go through a windshield. A accident is bad enough anyway.

Yes, this law could be abused and probably will be abused by some insurance companies.

The way I understand it is that any injuries they can prove would not have happened if you were wearing the seatbelt won't be covered. Since this law doesn't care whether you are at fault or not, I always wear my seatbelt. No ifs, ands or buts.

YES If it has one, I wear one. Wearing a seatbelt can actually prevent accidents.
