Do you drink bottled water?

Yup, I drink it all the time. Bought a bottle about three years ago and have been refilling it ever since! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not really the safest thing to be doing. Reusing water bottles is opening yourself up to bacteria -- unless of course the bottle you have has a wide mouth and can be cleaned well.

I have heard the bacteria thing before. I dont discount it, but what about public water fountains, ice machines and gosh, what did we do to our bodies when we drank out of the hose when we were young???? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The human immune system is allot stronger than we give it credit for.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My tap water has a slight flavor to it I don't care for, but when it run through the filter on my fridge, it tastes great. I drink the fridge water all the time.

I have never purchased a single bottle of water. In fact, I do not drink water by itself at all. The closest I come is the coffee I drink each day. If I am actually working hard, nothing quenches that thirst like some ice cold iced tea from a company like nestea or Lipton. Maybe I'm of a different generation or maybe just weird.

It may kill me, but the water is not as yummy as any of the alternatives.

Hi
We have been drinking and cooking with “distilled water” (not drinking water that’s just filtered tap water) for at least 35 years. We buy it in 1-gallon jugs at wal-mart for about $ .60 a gallon, and then we fill a 5-gallon jug on a cooler. We usually keep 10-12 gallons in stock so we never run out. We think it’s a small price to pay for 99.9 percent pure water. We also keep a few bottles filled half full frozen in the freezer and when we leave the house we grab one and fill with the distilled water to take with us.

You mean I'm supposed to quit now? It has been awhile since I drank from creeks, lakes, and rivers, but I haven't quit drinking from the garden hose if I get thirsty while working outside. Of course when I was RVing, I did try to remember and not use the same hose I used to wash out the holding tanks. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

We buy bottled water. It's nice to carry around, is quick and simple. There's always a few bottles in the car and truck. However, we will refill them a few times from the RO in the house.

If I am working outside, or going somewhere, I usually fill my 5 gallon water cooler with ice and RO water. We use travel mugs with that, so we don't throw away lots of disposable stuff.

I have never thought bottled water was much cleaner than other sources, so have never depended on it directly.

I dont know from personal or scientific experience, but from what I have heard distilled water is bad for you. read
I did a quick search and this was the first article I came across. Seems our bodies need the minerals from "unpure water"..

By drinking it for 35yrs, you have much more experience than I but I thought this was interesting as I have always heard it was bad....I'll still take my chances with the tap and ocasional garden hose..

Bird, you should never dring from the black hose. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
