Do you ever get the feeling.......

Do you ever get the feeling that when you make a post, that the thread will suddenly die? Do you believe that your posting to a thread is the kiss of death for it and it will be closed or even worse, deleted? Do your comments single handedly cause others to shudder and stop posting? Please relate your experiences..... I know that I can make a tractor thread stop just by thinking about it. Must be some mystical powers.

Yes. I have been thinking about that very thing. I sometimes wonder if I upset someone or am just being ignored. At my age, I just want to contribute where I can, not cause any trouble, learn from others, and maybe have a little fun along the way. Thanks for bringing this up. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That seems to happen to me all the time. Though, I don't think that I have ever had one deleted.

You guys must all be engineers! This happens to me all the time on line and in verbal communication. Very common with engineer/technical types, we're just rotten conversationalists. Ask us a question and we'll answer with such finality that there is just nothing else to add. Actually tends to tick off some from that other planet (Mars/Venus), at least in my experiences. I've been working at being more conversational lately though, a little less raw fact and a little more empathetic listening/questioning. Is this similar to your experiences?
